Police Hiring & Promotions: Fair, Impartial & OBJECTIVE

  •  In recent years, we thoroughly examined police hiring practices in New Jersey, and developed specific, actionable strategies to make diversity, inclusivity, and equality a priority for law enforcement in New Jersey. We were extremely proud and honored our suggested strategies were incorporated into the below listed legislative bills.
  • Senate Bill S2765 Requires Various Initiatives to Increase Diversity and Inclusivity 
  • Senate Bill S2766 Requires a Mentoring Program for Minority Applicants
  • Senate Bill S2767 Requires Oversight/Database for Candidates Background Information
  •  Our suggestions also prompted the Civil Service Commission to conduct a data-driven assessment of the demographics of law enforcement officers hired via the Civil Service process in New Jersey. 
  • This data assessment reflected an abundance of qualified candidates from underrepresented groups looking to join the ranks of law enforcement, and protect serve their communities.
  • There are various hiring practices for law enforcement throughout the State, and within Synergy Consulting & Training Group, we help ensure the concepts of procedural justice and fundamental fairness apply during the hiring and promotional processes.
